Rover Ants

  • Dark Rover ants are new to Southern California. These ants are tiny, but can become a large problem. They are usually hard to spot outdoors without a trained eye. When they are spotted, they appear about half the size of an Argentine Ant.

  • Rover ants nest in moist areas such as mulch, leaf litter, trash piles, and under stones.

  • Rover ants are one of the hardest ants to get rid of without pesticide intervention. We recommend cleaning up leaf litter and yard debris, making sure there aren’t areas of excessive, repeat moisture, and not leaving food out. If you think you may have rover Ants, it is strongly recommended that you call a professional.

  • Once we determine that you have a Rover Ant infestation, we will locate the colony and treat. If they are inside your home, or in a sensitive area around your yard, we will use a gel bait that is specifically targeted for Rover Ants.
